I create my paintings for the most part with acrylic paints, on either canvas or wood panels.  My palette is generally
a warm, bright one for the subject and usually cooler colors for the backgrounds.  

My style is generally what I would call a bright realism, but sometimes I loosen up a bit. I strive to capture the
personality of the animal as well as its structure, turning a flat image into what appears to be a three-dimensional
living animal. Eyes are what I focus on first and foremost as I paint because, as with humans, we can see so much
personality in the eyes.

In the future, too, I'll be doing paintings of places I'm
traveling.  It's a whole new adventure for me.
